1 – GENERAL PURPOSE
To enable professional to perform work of electrical or electronic installations in potentially explosive or flammable environment safety, considering facilities and equipment required to operate in places where there is combustible substances or flammable, providing knowledge and clarification of existing rules, procedures and mandates.
2 – ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
- Notions of potentially explosive atmosphere;
- As a hazardous area is formed;
- Definition of area classification;
- Classification and identification of gases, vapors and flammable substances;
- Procedures for service in hazardous areas;
- Identification and types of Ex equipment;
- National and international standards used in hazardous areas;
- Legislation notions, certification organs, Ex equipment certificates of conformity and requirements of NR-10.
3 – SCOPE OF WORK
The professional can work in installations involving electricity, automation and control where have area classified as a potentially explosive atmosphere or where it is expected the formation of flammable atmosphere.
4 – TARGET PUBLIC
Professionals in the fields of electrical, electronics, instrumentation, automation, equipment and operation, as well as contracts for the supervision of professionals, safety, design, procurement, and others that interact in this kind of environment or have an interest and profile to act as multipliers.

For better use of the course, it is recommended that the student has at least completed high school.
