1 – GENERAL PURPOSE 

Train forklift operators, developing on the trainees the ability to operate them safely and efficiently, to prevent accidents and preserve the good condition of the machine and enable companies to meet NR 11.1.5.

2 – ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of classification of vehicles by manufacturer, size, fuel and application;

Understand frontal stability ( point of support – of the lever)

Lateral stability (center of gravity , base and load center)

Notions of vehicle components (engine, transmission, clutch, differential, chassis and counterweight, hydraulic system , transport system, tires , controls and dashboard instruments )

Know the the NR -11 operation rules of the Ministry of labor , including safety rules and basic operating rules

Departure , ramps, forward , reverse, narrow corridor, maneuverability, obstacles, stop, parking, normal and special .

NR 34 this regulatory standard – NR estabilishes the minimum requirements and measures to protect safety,health and the work environment in the activities of the shipbuilding and registration industry , compliance with the provisions of this NR does not release employers from complying with the provisisions contained in the other regulatory Norm.

Identify as machine parts;

Identify the control levers and intruments on the panel;

Operate with a stopped machine ( recognize the basic movements) ;

Operate machine without load ( forward/reverse, large/small slalow)

Load capacity certification

Mooring.

3 – SCOPE OF WORK

This professional may work in handling and storage of cargo with forklift.

4 – TARGET PUBLIC

The course is direct to workers directly or indirectly involved on forklifts operation.

5 –  REQUIREMENTS

The student must be at least 18 years and High School Diploma or GED, have good physical and mental health conditions and be literate.

6 – TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS TO FOLLOW THE DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE
