The course follows the program content and training load for the Ex 000 and Ex 001 Skills Units provided for in the manual of certification of personal skills in explosive atmospheres of the Brazilian Association of Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection – ABENDI.

• Determination of the operation and conditions of the industrial plant and equipment in relation to protection against the occurrence of an explosion;
• Types of “Ex” protection and the application of procedures for the operation of the industrial plant and equipment;
• Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies and procedures for protection against the occurrence of an explosion;
• Fault identification that can affect the integrity of equipment with type of protection Ex;
• Observation and identification of visually or aurally detectable non-conformities, which may affect the integrity of the “Ex” types protection;

5 –  REQUIREMENTS

At least 18 years old on the day of enrollment and completed high school. It is recommended that the student has the Basic Safety Course in Installations and Services with Electricity (NR-10).

6 – TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS TO FOLLOW THE DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE

The full course has a workload of 16 hours.

For the 08 hour course (refresher), the module of Application of the Basic Principles of Protection in Explosive Atmospheres will be applied.

9 – VALIDITY

This course has no expiration date. However, it is recommended to carry out the training again after 05 years from the date of issuance of the certificate, due to regulatory changes and replacement of new technologies.
